Cybersecurity is one of the ICT areas which has received more attention in recent years due to the increased rate of threats, vulnerabilities and risks in all type of systems. Both from government bodies and companies, a number of initiatives have appeared to promote research, development and innovation in this area.
Broadly speaking, the aim of the Center in this area is to provide solutions to ensure end-to-end security in systems, networks, applications and services, including aspects such as risk management, data privacy, access control, as well as their application to the sectors of health, education, transport, energy, etc.
The Center also addresses issues such as distributed risk analysis and dynamic adaptation of the behaviour of security systems, information infrastructure discovery, reputation techniques, detection of anomalous behaviour, formal modelling of the evolution of cyberattacks and electronic communications for defence and security.
