The Smart City concept, in the IPTC view, includes not only the technologies to make the city services management more efficient and sustainable, but also those that allow to provide its citizens and visitors more and richer personal and social experiences. Thus the Smart City concept extends itself into the Smart Spaces, including specific indoor, public and private, leisure and work spaces, and the Urban Smart Services.
The Center is mainly focused in technologies of the Internet of Things (such as Sensors, Actuators, Displays and Communications), and also in technologies for Mobility and Personalization on the one hand, and Cloud and Big Data on the other.
