Celebrating Excellence: IPTC’s Javier Conde Honored at the Margarita Salas Awards

The IPTC is proud to congratulate Dr. Javier Conde, researcher and Assistant Professor at the E.T.S. Telecomunicación, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), for receiving an honourable mention at the Margarita Salas Awards, organized by the Madrid City Council, recognizing one of the best doctoral theses in applied technology.

Dr. Conde expressed heartfelt gratitude to his thesis supervisors, Prof. Gabriel Huecas and Prof. Álvaro Alonso González, as well as to all members of the GING research group at UPM. He also reflected on the importance of retaining scientific talent in Spain, emphasizing the need to create opportunities for young researchers to continue their careers within the institutions where they were trained.

This recognition highlights not only the excellence of Dr. Conde’s research but also the innovative spirit and commitment to academic growth fostered at IPTC and UPM.
